2015 season infographic

I wanted to take a closer look back at our 2015 show season - both my and Isabel's first full season eventing.

It was a pretty big year for us - comprising 8 total starter events and moving up not once, but twice. We had what I would consider many successful moments, and more than a few learning opportunities as well haha.

Obviously it didn't end the way I expected... but recall it also didn't really start out great either, when we had to miss our first two events of the season due to our barn being quarantined for the flu. Oops! So in a way, the ridiculous side of me appreciates the poetic symmetry there haha.

In any case, it was fun putting this little visual together. If you're curious about any of the actual details or want the full story, see my "Events" tab for hyperlinks to each event.

  10. Why can't they give out 'you tried' ribbons in real life?

  11. I laughed when I saw the "you tried" ribbon! It's unfortunate that your show season ended abruptly, but yay for moving up twice in one year. I had totally forgotten that you started the year at Intro, way to go!

    1. haha yea i figured the 'you tried' would be more fun than actually looking up whatever color 11th place would be (bc oddly both of those events saw us finishing 11th...). and yea, crazy to think we started at intro this year - things just started clicking along and we never looked back!

    1. thanks! and yea while the timing was shitty in that i missed a couple events, it's actually pretty good otherwise - i should be a little steadier on my feet before the worst of the weather hits, and there won't be any pressure to rush through my recovery bc ugh, winter. silver linings, right?
