clinic media dump

So when I said I was lacking in media from this weekend's clinic with Stephen Birchall, I may have somewhat misspoke. (mistyped?)

What I meant was: there's limited media from the meat of our ride. Tragic, bc we did some pretttttty cool stuff, about which I have LOADS to write. However, there is certainly no limit to the number of candids I snap on any given day, and this day was no different.

So here, enjoy all the random photos from our day at Austen's very fancy barn. Actual content about the ride will be forthcoming soon!

Isabel heard trolls over on that side of the arena, so the brave huskies went to investigate

No trolls here tho. Isabel looks (and felt) ready to take on anything that might cross her path on the way to the arena for our lesson.

Which was obviously followed by Isabel making her bid for #fanciesthorseinthering

While I made my bid for most childish haha. Pony won't wear her ears forward? Ha, watch me fix that ;)

Plenty of ears forward post-ride tho. Isabel was quite satisfied with herself. Or, perhaps, quite satisfied to gorge on all the fresh green grass that sprang up over night?

Meanwhile, the rest of us spent some time unwinding from the rides. Except I'm not quite sure what's going on in this picture. Why so serious, Emma?!? I imagine there was perhaps some conversation happening between me and the horse. Something along the lines of:
Pig: "what's in the cup?!?"
Emma: "Touch my bubbly and I will cut you"

ANYWHO. This was supposed to be a majestic shot of the lovely vista. But Lyra is doing... something, and Isabel is about to poop. So. Um. You're welcome?

Ahhhh but there's the majestic! Pretty mare :)

She may be tiny, but she's mighty <3
Stay tuned tomorrow for what will certainly be a gushing euphoric recounting of a 30 minute ride. Haha. Followed the next day by a slightly different tale from our fix-a-test clinic from yesterday. Highs and lows, folks. We gots 'em!

    1. They are pretty easy to do! I can't braid to save my life, but I can manage a running braid.

    2. It's something I've learned more or less by trial and error (and the occasional YouTube video), but I've been thinking about a tutorial, maybe with my helmet cam. We will see!
