six million dollar Charlie

We can rebuild him. We have the technology.

Pros: Lovely springy cadenced trot and quality gaits in the dressage!

Cons: Wow we really didn't think through this design for the show jumping tho...

  2. I wonder if there's a way you can add a rubber band or something to the fronts of his springs so he doesn't hook poles as he goes over, but the band will break under duress. Also I'm disappointed we did not explore this option for Bobby. #bouncebouncemotherfucker

    1. Hmm you might be onto something with the rubber band idea!! And I think bobby would have just loved bouncing around lol ;)

  3. might as well replace the hind end with the same as the fronts since then you'll get that suspension behind and the extra oompha! in the jumping phase!

    2. Ha we considered the hinds too but seems too risky that he’d get all tangled and hooked on to the fronts. He’s already clumsy enough lol!!

    1. Oh he will, he will be totally fine. He just likes running things on his schedule rather than mine ...

  6. On the plus side, those springs look sturdy enough that during jump schools you can totally teach Charlie to help pick up the poles that get knocked down? Hope his limb gets back with the program quickly!
