"productivity"

So my job entails a lot of time spent at computers. Working with giant data files and processing and blah blah VPNs blah, technology, yada cyber security yada yada slow internet snoooooooze transferring and uploading and downloading........

yup this totally happened

Suffice it to say: There are occasions when the computer is basically a glorified brick while it processes and transfers files and does whatever it is that computers do inside (chugging through all those ones and zeroes, I guess?), while I just sit and wait and twiddle my thumbs.

"EET THE CARROT HORSEY!!" - 12yo emma, apparently

Honestly. Truly really. I'm totally not just saying that to justify why I might be excused for, erm, participating in other activities while at work.

charlie would like one of these in size real horse, plz

Because I'm a professional, dammit.

it's a spray bottle!!!! and BRUSHIES!!!!!!

A professional whose insightful, kind and considerate colleague gave her this AMAZING wash stall lego kit for Christmas lol.

ridiculously satisfied with this desk toy - do you see that even that little bucket has water in it???

I mean, c'mon!! Look at that freaking hose!!!! LOOK AT IT!!!!! #bestworkdayever lol

Happy weekend, everyone!

  1. Nice to see how far Lego horses have come from the days where they had giant rectangular holes in their backs to place a rider, and painted on bridles 😂

    1. Ha call me sentimental but I liked that older style! At least the Lego men could ride those horses, and they were more proportional lol. This little pony is pretty cute too tho ;)

    1. Right?!?? I liked how they included both a 1st AND 2nd place ribbon to hang on the wash stall wall, tho there is only one place to hang it. Pshaw. As if anyone who spent the time putting this thing together could be anything other than the winner.

  6. Dang, Legos are getting more complex these days. I actually just pulled out my childhood box yesterday and made a studio apartment. It's a great distraction when I should be working on the portfolio that will, ya know, get me into actual studio.

    1. There's something so satisfying about building things with Legos lol. And whatever, we all need a little distraction now and then, right?

  7. Stuff like this makes me wonder if adults hid this kind of thing from us when we were kids. "No grown ups don't play with toys." But then did they secretly play with all our stuff?! Because the best thing about becoming an 'adult' is still playing with toys like this one! (I want it, lol)

  10. There's something awesome about the clean and beautiful lego wash stall when my Real Life horse is covered in mud up to his eyeballs (Srsly, Bird, what's the deal with the mud caked ON YOUR EARS???) and everything else is covered in mud and basically it's mud as far as the eye can see. So yay! (On the plus side, when we have mud, we do not have ice.)
