mare glare + barnsby

So I had a post to write. Had a riding lesson that left me crippled... Ugh. But not from something cool like eating it falling off. More just like - wow this whole muscle group that is totally atrophied? Yea, uh, you're supposed to be using that to ride. FYI.

Ugh.....

So that write up will be coming. And will probably be, ya know, about what you expect.

unless you'e this cat
Until then, tho - let's all get super excited about the Barnsby that just arrived. Quite literally, ALL my hopes and dreams reside in this saddle and I'm already drafting my vows.

i mean, it's kinda pretty, IMO
First trial ride is tonight. Wish me luck!

  1. Good luck!!! I spent hours last night looking. Narrows are almost nonexistent and add in a 17.5/18_seat and its like finding a unicorn :(

    1. i know your pain :( there's a pariani olympic 17.5" narrow monoflap at middleburg tack that is brand spankin new but was apparently left in direct sunlight for too long and is hideously discolored. it's been there forever tho and they've got pretty liberal trial terms... might be worth a try?

also - if you're at all interested, you can try my bates. maybe it would work better for your guy than it did for isabel?

    2. Hmmm, yes, I might try it! My guy is off at "camp" for training right now but once he's back maybe I can do a trial. I'm actually going to be in Middleburg in Dec so Middleburg tack is going to be my first stop!

    3. oooh yay you definitely should! and lmk how it goes! i spent a long time on the phone with them discussing the saddle but ultimately didn't do a trial bc it's just a bit longer than i want for isabel's back... but my fitter also thought it had a lot of potential too. plus there's probably a lot of wiggle room in the price

  5. Oh boy, I love Arabs. I have said about mine that they can be soo cute, but when they are ticked they can bring the ugly face. They are very expressive. My left leg can agree with your sore muscle groups. Fingers crossed for your saddle trial.
