looking forward

After the abysmal snow and ice storms that have dominated my thoughts for the past few weeks, we are finally looking forward to a week of nice, clear weather! Starting tomorrow, we're expecting clear skies with temps in the 40s and 50s. I'll take it!

The plans for this weekend (as of this writing) still include the fix-a-test show - scheduled for tomorrow. And it turns out that lessons are cancelled anyway, so no conflicts there.

There's honestly still some doubt about whether the show will happen, but I remain obstinately stubborn (stubbornly obstinate? one word isn't adequate for describing my mental state haha) that we WILL do the thing. lol

We're determined to ride on Saturday regardless tho - and will haul out to OF to use the indoor arena if the show is cancelled. Normally OF isn't high on our list of places to pay arena fees since the indoor is so small. But most other farms that allow haul-ins are busy on Saturdays with lessons so we'll take what we can get.

loooooose horse!!
j/k, Isabel just chills while I wander around scooping poop

Sunday will probably include schooling at FV again, or maybe a trail ride depending on how things are going and ground conditions.

isabel wishes i would leave her alone to eat in peace

Then a make-up lesson is scheduled for early Tuesday evening - which works perfectly for us, since we normally haul out for schooling on Tuesdays anyway. This is doubly good for me bc it'll provide one last lesson before our first ever (!!!) dressage clinic on Wednesday.

'i am skeptical' - isabel

So for the first time in 2015, we're looking forward to full work week (or pretty close to it). I'm excited about it!! Of course, writing it all out like this is just begging for something to happen and ruin everything... lol. But whatever, I'll take my chances.

And really, the only thing I could ask for is to get back outdoors again. Hopefully soon!

spring is coming!
