We'll be sure to get all the full details posted soon... In the meantime, tho. It's time to get SERIOUS about this whole EVENTING BINGO thing. So serious haha.
well golly gee whiz, that sure looks like a lot of riders in xc vests, hm??? |
judge's comments might definitely be some of the earliest checked off on our cards haha |
SO. My friends. It is time. Please scan the list below to find your official EVENTING BINGO card assignments. And review this page to see your actual cards -- I recommend downloading, screenshotting, or otherwise saving these cards to your own devices!!
In fact - my recommendation (especially for those of you who hope to keep track of your progress on these cards throughout the season!) is to post your assigned cards to your own blog!!
If you do not see your name but wish to participate, just let me know in the comments and I will assign you cards!!
NEXT STEPS:
For all participants, to be eligible for the $25 Riding Warehouse gift card drawing, you must:
- Review your assigned BINGO! cards and choose a hypothetical winning path (as in, a full row, full column, or diagonal line from the card).
- Write a story about how the blocks in your winning path might come to pass in real life with your horse (or any horse!).
- Publish said story in any of the following ways by 3/15/2017:
- Post on your blog if you have one (ideal if the story comes with pictures/illustrations/visual representations)
- Post in the comments of the new dedicated EVENTING BINGO page
- Or email it to fraidycat.eventing at gmail and I will publish it for you

If you have any questions please let me know! Whether it be about contest rules, eventing rules in general, or whatever.
I can't wait to see what you all come up with haha :)
In the meantime, be sure to check in for more details on Charlie's big weekend!
Yay!! This is going to be epic. I can't wait to read everyone's stories and follow along in the real world game too.
ReplyDeleteYAS!! This is going to be so fun!
ReplyDeleteYay! So excited to all the bingo-ing!
ReplyDeleteI looked at my cards and I literally laughed out loud when I saw I got the card with "missed the finish flags". I've done it once. I better not do it again!
ReplyDeleteLots of thinking to do
ReplyDeleteWeird stats nerd question - since we are using pre-planned pathways, can we just pick any five on our card? Statistically they are just as likely as a given row or column. Or does that defy the nature of Bingo too much? Maybe I'll make it my bonus story!
ReplyDeletehmmmm. i had been pretty set on the 'winning bingo card' thing (and recall you get double entries if you 'black out' your card - as in, incorporate every block in your story). but honestly i'm inclined to allow you to use any five. better be good tho!! ;)
DeleteI can't believe I missed this post, so I'm late to the party lol. Quick question - do we need to write a story for each card, or a story that incorporates a line from each card (So 2 stories, 5 events in each, or one story, 10 events, etc?)
ReplyDeletenope - you only need one story and you can basically do it however you like. take a look at your cards and figure out a winning path from one of them that is interesting you to you write about. basically whatever inspires you will be sufficient. and the stories can involve as many or as few events as you like - realism can be sacrificed for creative license if need be haha.
