healing crystals

Today's post is basically an opportunity for me to gush about this new, beautiful and incredibly thoughtful addition to Isabel's wardrobe. It's a new browband from Amelia at Dark Jewel Designs - this time in brown, but still with the super convenient snap-on functionality - and I am blown away by it.

Amelia - Thank you! You chose the perfect beads and design! And took it a step further by selecting beads in our preferred color spectrum that have a whole extra dimension beyond just being pretty.

simply beautiful. see the sparkly specks in the dark blue? and the depth of crystallization in the clear quartz?
it almost feels galactic
There are some who believe that crystals have special healing and medicinal properties, and that different types of crystals can enhance or influence certain feelings and behaviors.

Whether you count yourself among the believers or not, it's not hard to understand why an equestrian fallen on rough times might turn to these crystals for help. It certainly doesn't hurt that they are straight up gorgeous, and I need very little convincing to bejewel my pretty little mare.

Amelia took the initiative to research each of the beads in this design, looking for the types of stones that aligned the closest with the areas Isabel and I are working on repairing. And she really hit this one out of the park! (Seriously, thank you again and again!!)

tho marestare will in fact still stare like a mare
Blue Goldstone (dark blue with specks): Known for helping to attain one's goals. Helps one to stay calm and stabilize the emotions. Can be used as a protection stone.

and obvi we still rock our good juju charm from Beka. still going strong after day in, day out abuse for the past year!
Lapis Lazuli (mottled blue/brown):  Lapis can help one build courage, confidence and hope. Hope brings trust that things will work out in spite of past traumas. It also helps to decrease irritability.

classic, elegant, yet understated. a perfect match!
Quartz (clear crackled stone): This stone enhances energies by amplifying, balancing, focusing and transmitting them. It enhances thoughts. Because of its effects on energy, it is extremely beneficial for healing and protection.

what's not to love?
(and don't say "the black flash on a brown bridle" plz haha. i work with what i have)
I don't know if it was the stones, or Isabel just feeling pretty, or if the universe aligned, or whatever. But we have had some really pleasant and enjoyable rides lately. Including some very fun jumping. Details coming later, but suffice it to say I'm ready to do whatever it takes to keep the good energy flowing!

Hope you all are having a lovely weekend :)

  5. Wow it's beautiful!! I really really want one of these for TC, especially if there's a stone that can install brains and a better canter!

  6. Science brain doesn't love the "hokey" nature of crystals etc., but science brain also notes that they can't exactly be disproved either. I have a lot of stones and crystals I carry about with me through different aspects of life. =)
