I wanted to take a closer look back at our 2015 show season - both my and Isabel's first full season eventing.
It was a pretty big year for us - comprising 8 total starter events and moving up not once, but twice. We had what I would consider many successful moments, and more than a few learning opportunities as well haha.
Obviously it didn't end the way I expected... but recall it also didn't really start out great either, when we had to miss our first two events of the season due to our barn being quarantined for the flu. Oops! So in a way, the ridiculous side of me appreciates the poetic symmetry there haha.
In any case, it was fun putting this little visual together. If you're curious about any of the actual details or want the full story, see my "Events" tab for hyperlinks to each event.
This is very cool.
ReplyDeletelol i may or may not have a little too much fun w ms paint

DeleteHaha love the you tried ribbon and boom jump!
ReplyDeletelolz i couldn't figure out how to illustrate flying rails so... yea the 'boom' gets the point across pretty clearly i think ;)
DeleteHaha love the you tried ribbon and boom jump!
ReplyDeleteWhy can't they give out 'you tried' ribbons in real life?
ReplyDeletei know, right?
DeleteI laughed when I saw the "you tried" ribbon! It's unfortunate that your show season ended abruptly, but yay for moving up twice in one year. I had totally forgotten that you started the year at Intro, way to go!
ReplyDeletehaha yea i figured the 'you tried' would be more fun than actually looking up whatever color 11th place would be (bc oddly both of those events saw us finishing 11th...). and yea, crazy to think we started at intro this year - things just started clicking along and we never looked back!
DeleteLove this! Sucks that it ended early but what a great season. Congrats!
ReplyDeleteyea... it would have been nice to get a better showing at novice before hanging it up for the year, but i'm still pretty pleased all the same :)
DeleteLove this! Congrats on the wicked year and to many more.
ReplyDeletethanks - hopefully next year will be even better!
DeleteHaha the you tried ribbon is great! I kind of want to do this.

ReplyDeletehaha yup- i love a good quick recap !
DeleteLovin the infographic :D
ReplyDeletethanks haha - i'm pretty pleased with it (even if i kinda ran outta time and therefore didn't come up with any clever images for dressage)
DeleteWoohoo! Look at you being a boss! Training level in the future? ;)
ReplyDeletelolz we will see. there are a couple solid xc questions at BN and N that we need to be confirmed in first before we tackle anything bigger, i think haha
DeleteVery creative way of summarizing the season! Can't wait to see what next year's going to look like ;)
ReplyDeletewho doesn't love a solid visual representation? lol why read when a picture can tell the story better ;)
DeleteI love your infographic! And I got a little behind and am just now catching up on your crazy week---sorry about your leg :( At least winter is a good time for it maybe?
ReplyDeletethanks! and yea while the timing was shitty in that i missed a couple events, it's actually pretty good otherwise - i should be a little steadier on my feet before the worst of the weather hits, and there won't be any pressure to rush through my recovery bc ugh, winter. silver linings, right?
DeleteAMAZING chart. Jealous of your skillz. And way to go on an amazing season! You and Isabel rock!
