wintry windy reflections

Every time work travel fast approaches on my horizon, I solemnly pledge to have all sorts of awesome posts written in advance and scheduled to go out as normal. My record on that tho.... well. We're shooting at about .500 haha.

warped shiny reflections!!
It's cool tho - that's not to say that I don't have anything to write about, to the contrary!!! Remember I posted that teaser about the lesson Charlie went to at OF? Where we didn't end up getting to jump (my fault for being very tardy) but that there was media anyway?

Well. Even if you don't remember, that post is still coming!! Because pictures, dammit.

the beeeeean!
I can't promise it'll be earth shattering or very exciting or anything lol, but it's something ;)

Anyway Charlie seemed to do just fine with his week off during my absence (well, I wasn't absent a full week but you know how things go). During the first couple weeks of having Charlie, I was very diligent about seeing him every day and doing things every day - usually riding, but at least something.

It didn't take me very long tho to learn that, well. He's a good boy. Whether he's working every day or whether it's been a couple days. He's just steady. That certainly wasn't the case in my early days with Isabel so it's a welcome relief!

bright lights everywhere!
Sure, I don't love all the time off in terms of his physical condition, but it also doesn't hugely matter at this stage in the game. I'll just have to be sensitive to balance what I ask of him in his ever-growing calendar of lessons (and CLINICS GUYS OMG!) with his physical and emotional preparedness.

For now tho I'm just happy to be home and seeing the big guy again! Even if it is really freakin cold now (at least not as cold as it was in Chicago) haha. Here's to hoping for a busy fun weekend!!

  3. So nice when you have the kind of brain to work with that doesn't require daily lessons to make sure things are retained :) but I'm sure Charlie is glad to have you back! Anxiously awaiting your last lesson post... because... PICTURES!

    1. Ha it actually wasn't too bad! I've only ever been before in January or March (except for one time this summer when I was only there for literal hours so it totally doesn't count) so this was actually relatively nice weather lol

  5. Hopefully you are staying healthy with all that work travel too, no getting sick!
