who spiked my coffee with acid?!?

So we had a bit of an ice storm here on the East Cost.... Well. We had hoped it would be fairly minor.... but really tho, any ice storm kinda sucks.

But damn does it make for some beautiful scenery!!

Ever since breaking my leg I've been really uncomfortable walking on slippery surfaces. And obvi driving on ice is.... well. Idk. I feel like you can learn how to drive well on snow, but ice defies true expertise and skill. Shit is treacherous, yo!

Slippery but oh-so-pretty!

The storm necessitated a reshuffling of the weekend itinerary - but all was not lost! Stay tuned for more details later.

In the meantime, tho, hope you enjoy the pics and somewhat trippy gifs haha (ice melting on my truck's windows, if you were curious). Also. Stay warm and dry and safe and all that good stuff!

  2. OMG - the ice was awful at my house. And the temps didn't come up as fast as they predicted. I was thinking of you and wondering if the clinic got postponed.

  3. I enjoyed the ice storm from my hotel... my morning lesson got a little shuffled when GP Trainer called and said, "Don't you dare come to the barn yet, we'll do something in the afternoon."

    1. I didn't actually mean to talk about frozen poo. But that stuff is also treachery. Though easy to muck, I hear.

    2. Unless it's frozen to your trailer floor, because you're too lazy to clean out your trailer.

  6. Yuck! Pretty though.
I feel you on the post-broken hesitation, this is my first winter after my broken foot and I'm already nervous on wet surfaces!

  7. I loooove winter and snow rides and that cold crisp air. But... When it melts, then freezes... F@$% that sh*t. Ice belongs in a rink to skate on and that's about it.

    1. it's worse when there isn't even any snow or crisp air - this stuff just arrives as freezing rain and coats everything in a thick layer of ice.

  9. I had to drive 50 miles in it from MD to Northern VA for work (because nothing veterinary nor medical stops for weather...my husband had to work too!) I did it...but it was NOT FUN. It sure is pretty to look at though!

  11. yes i cancelled my lesson on Sat due to that crap. I had to haul there, but would have first had to walk to the field to get said horse, hook up trailer without busting my ass etc. Um Nope. just wasnt worth it!! And yesterday was so warm and now it is cold again. Might hibernate till Spring :)

  14. You know all those Meme's that say Florida is not participating in winter? Yeah, that. It was 91 degrees here yesterday. And I'm in NORTH Florida.
And no, ice is bad for everything that involves transportation. Very pretty and I would love to have some that I could look at through my windows.
