Waredaca stadium + xc pics!

I'm out of town this week for work (joy of joys!) so will very likely fall ridiculously behind in reading everyone's posts (EXCEPT for pano fail blog-hoppers, I am checking those religiously!!! bc obvi that kind of amusement is necessary for those of us stuck in conference centers all day long) - and will hopefully catch up with everything else without much fuss next week.

In the meantime, I managed to hoard a little bit of media. It was honestly pretty difficult not to post these photos from Waredaca earlier, but I figured they'd make decent enough fodder for a scheduled post during my absence.

Recall we competed at Waredaca in mid-June, earning a disappointing dressage score followed by a clear stadium and a cross country that was pretty awesome except for one costly blip at a lattice fence early on course. And that blip is most definitely included here for your enjoyment, natch :)

i think she likes jumping!
priceless expressions all round... for different reasons tho lol
am i the only one who hates how bunched up these vests look?
no touching the yellow poles!!!
we started ok pretty ok, but in retrospect the mare was behind my leg.
izzy said 'NO THANK YOU VERY MUCH' pretty far out from the fence - you can't even see it yet in the left photo
jumped it fine on second approach tho. wtf mare!
isabel is deciding whether she should spook again or no. our super long gallop came moments later and she ultimately clicked right into gear
slicing BN xc jumps is nbd
we felt pretty good about the feeder
my toes are lawless, i swear. one day they will point straight forward. one day!
but in the meantime the big roll top is no problemo
 cruisin!
izzy was very impressed by this log - or perhaps it was the untouched water right next to her that had her on high alert?

    1. haha thanks - tho in all honestly that's probably not a smile over the lattice - i'm actually probably clucking as hard/loud as humanly possible. doesn't make for the best facial expression but izzy responds so... yea haha

    1. Thanks! It really was a very fun course and event! The stop at the lattice was as disappointing as it was unexpected - but whatcha gonna do about it other than try not to stop next time?
